Spring Production
I’m very pleased to report
that Philip has been able to cast Role
Play, our next production, and rehearsals will start in late January. The cast is as follows:

You
will notice some unfamiliar names in the cast, and I’m particularly pleased
that this production will feature four new members. After some problems earlier in the year we
seem to be enjoying something of a renaissance at the moment – let’s hope we
can keep the momentum going. I’m sure
you will all join me in welcoming our new members to the society.
Having
said that, Philip is still on the lookout for people to fill various backstage
roles and would love to hear from anyone who is able to help – please contact
him on 01923 854520 for more
information.
Social Events
The
Quiz Evening on 2nd December was very successful with the Players
and RLOS fielding 5 teams between us. It
would of course be churlish to mention that one of the Players teams won – so I
won’t. My thanks to all those involved
in organising the evening, especially Doug Rhodes in his capacity as quiz
master.
Brunch
The
ever-popular Brunch at Rosemary’s
house is now only a few weeks away so you need to clear your diary on Sunday 15th January from
12.30 onwards. Rosemary does need to
know numbers in advance for the catering so please give her a ring on 01923 855065 to let her know you’re
attending. The cost this year will be a
very modest £6 per head, which covers all food and drink.
One Act Play Evening
A
reminder of our One Act Play evening on
27th January at St John’s Hall at 8.00pm. This also
features a number of new members to the society, who have been working hard
under the expert guidance of Chantelle
and Sandra Anders. Please feel free to
bring along friends and family to support our new members.
Member’s Evenings
Please
note that we won’t be holding a Member’s Evening in January, as I’m sure
everyone will be recovering from the festivities at that time. The next evening will be Tuesday 7th February at the Youth Club, as usual.

finally…..all that remains is for me to wish you and your families a very happy
Christmas and successful New Year.
